"There is a battle going on over the souls of men." Though we are no match for our enemy, Satan is no match for Christ. That battle is not between flesh and blood and spiritual warfare makes the difference between victory and defeat. Listen in as Vickie Petz Henderson and Jasa Babb discuss part one of Tom Harmon's book:
We must be skilled in the fight because the enemy attacks the places where we drop our guard and he comes to steal, kill and destroy what God treasures most - our Christian character and our principles. He wants to steal every blessing and every relationship and he is thrilled when we destroy ourselves. We are wise to equip ourselves, prepare and fight.
You are either strong and faithful or faithless and unstable. We have to learn to live in the world without being of the world. Since we wake up in the world every day, we must be in the word every day: read, study, memorize, meditate, share and obey. It transforms and cleanses our minds. Our lifestyle is evidence of our faith. We can walk in truth or be the captain of our own ship. Remember, that's what got Satan kicked out of heaven. Run to God.
Be faithful and honest in the little things so that Satan doesn't gain a foothold. We reap what we sow. We have seasons of growth and seasons of attack. The seasons of attack usually come in the unguarded places. Cover those with the truth of God's word.
Hear my personal story of attack and how I re-centered. We got so wrapped up in this discussion, we had to cut it into two parts. Join us next week for part two.
