COME LET US ADORE HIM
an advent devotional by Paul David Tripp
Observe the wonder and behold Christ Jesus and the LOVE with which we are loved.
"The thing that should make us stop in our tracks and fall on our knees and worship Him is that this story is real."
Rest in the fact that God is sovereign over national circumstances and personal circumstances. There had to be a rescue for us and the only way was for God to send the child. Although the baby came, He was never created. He controls the world and yet He willingly left Heaven to come as a frail baby. God always has a plan.
At His second coming, every knee will bow, every tongue will confess. Without Christ we are lost and have no hope. This Christmas have a heart of thanksgiving instead of hoping in things that don't matter.
The coming of Christ is not good news for those who do not know the bad news. The bad news is that we are separated from God by our sin.
"Good news is only good news to people who know they need good news."
Jesus never confronts a sinner for shame or condemnation. He offers hope and righteousness.
This year dig deeper into Christmas and take time to make Christmas more meaningful.
